Subject:
Vicarious Liability in the SCC
Dear
Colleagues,
The
SCC has once again decided a case dealing with vicarious liability,
in this case of a bishop and corporation sole for the sexual assault
of a priest: see John
Doe v. Bennett.
There
is nothing groundbreaking in the case but it provides a good, short
summary of the relevant SCC jurisprudence on the this issue.
Sincerely,
--
