Dear Colleagues:

The Third Biennial Obligations Conference will be hosted by the TC Beirne School of Law at the University of Queensland in Brisbane on the 13th and 14th of July. The theme of the conference with be Justifying Remedies in the Law of Obligations. Scholars researching in the law of obligations are invited to offer papers addressing one of the following sub themes:

• Taxonomy of Remedies
• Contract and Compensatory Remedies
• Torts and Compensatory remedies
• Equity and Compensatory Remedies
• Restitution
• Performance Remedies
• Punishment and Private law
• Policy and Remedies
• Discretion and Remedies

Scholars who are interested in providing a paper should prepare an abstract of 300 words or less and submit this by email to Dr Darryn Jensen (d.jensen@law.uq.edu.au) by 1st of December 2005. Submissions should specify which of the conference sub-themes is to be addressed by the paper.
