Congratulations go out to ODGer Neil Foster on the publication of Workplace Health and Safety Law in Australia (LexisNexis Butterworths, Australia, 2012) (details at http://www.lexisnexis.com/store/au/catalog/productDetail.jsp?pageName=relatedProducts&catId=555&prodId=prod16941090 ). Although the first part of the book deals with statutory rules, Part 2 deals with workplace safety as an issue of private law, including under contract, negligence and (of course) the action for breach of statutory duty.
