Dear Colleagues:

For those of you interested in contract theory (especially with whether transfer theories of contract are viable), there is a wonderful article by ODGer Helge Dedek in the July 2012 issue of the Canadian Journal of Law and Jurisprudence entitled "A Particle of Freedom".  The article historically situates Kant's theory of transfer within the then current debates about the natural law of contract. If you have been inclined to dismiss transfer theories of contract, then I suggest that you read this article before coming to a firm conclusion.
