I thought that some might be interested in the Trusts Bill that has just been released by the Ministry of Justice.  The Bill will enact pretty much all of the recommendations made by the NZ Law Commission three years ago,  http://www.lawcom.govt.nz/our-projects/law-trusts .   The Bill will replace the current Trustee Act, based on the UK model, with a modernised Act, but will also attempts to set out characteristics of express trusts and trustee duties.

Any comments would be gratefully received, and if any one had questions about the project I would be delighted to try to answer
