Dear all, I am starting a research on private law responses to the problem of sex-trafficking (and more generally, trafficking in persons). I would appreciate information on any legal materials on these matters. I am mainly interested in courts' decisions on these matters, but legislation and secondary sources will be accepted with gratitude. I am mainly interested in claims in torts and restitution/unjust enrichment, but other bases of liability (labor law, contracts? Special legislation) are also of interest. Are there any claims made against people/institutions other than the traffickers (such as the state or clients)? There are two Israeli trial court decisions on these matters. A labor court decision (now under appeal) which granted the victim minimum-wage (but rejected a restitution-based claim and did not address other issues) and a magistrate court decision which afforded tort damages against a trafficker while somewhat relaxing the requirements about proving the damage.
