Dear All The programme and registration form for the above are now available by clicking here. The conference will be opened by Sir Henry Brooke, former Lord Justice of Appeal and Chair of the English Law Commission at the initiation of its punitive damages project. Punitive damages in the United States, England and South Africa will be discussed by, respectively, Anthony J. Sebok (Brooklyn), Vanessa Wilcox (Vienna) and Johan Neethling (Pretoria). There'll then be short reports from various civilian European jurisdictions and the EU, followed by economic and insurance analyses. Comparative conclusions will be offered by Institute Director, Helmut Koziol. I look forward to welcoming ODG members to Vienna at the start of this year's Christmas season. (The Vienna Christmas market opens November 15th.)
