Private Law: Queerathon
Dear colleagues,
We are excited to invite you to Queering Private Law: Queerathon, a
workshop dedicated to exploring the intersections of queer theory, LGBTQI+
Rights, and private law.
This hackathon-style event aims at bringing together scholars,
practitioners, and postgraduate students for collaborative discussion and
critical inquiry into private law topics broadly defined - including contract,
property, tort, restitution, intellectual property, company, and family law -
through queer theory and LGBTQI+ Rights frameworks.
No paper submission is required in advance - participation is based on
shared dialogue and collective exploration.
The event welcomes academics, researchers, and students working in
private law, critical legal studies, queer legal theory, and related fields,
and will be held on Wednesday 19 November, 3-6pm (UK time) at King's
College London, Dickson Poon School of Law, with online participation
available.
The event is free but registration is required due to limited space.
