Dear ODG Colleagues,

I hope all is well with you. I write to share the Call for Papers for the spring 2027 iteration of the Yale-Toronto-Columbia Private Law Theory Discussion Group's annual workshop. We are looking for works in progress in private law theory authored by junior scholars (defined to include pre-tenure faculty, postdoctoral and other fellows, graduate students in law or cognate disciplines, and J.D./LL.B. students). Please see the attached PDF. As is detailed there, submissions should be made using this form. 

We would be grateful for your efforts to circulate widely among your junior faculty colleagues, fellows, and law and graduate students who may be in your midst. We are eager to receive a wide range of submissions from a diverse range of submitters, including folks traditionally underrepresented in the legal academy in general and in private law theory in particular.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 30, 2026, at 11:59 pm ET. The workshop itself will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2027, from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm ET. It will be held in a hybrid format, with options for presenters (and other attendees) to join via Zoom or in person in New Haven, Toronto, or New York.
