Subject: William Gummow - Judge of the High Court of Australia - 1942-2026

I didn't think I would be writing twice in the one week to note the sad passing of another High Court of Australia judge.  

Bill Gummow will be known to many on this list for his contribution to Meagher, Gummow and Lehane's Equity: Doctrines and Remedies (5th ed published in 2014, and regularly cited by the Supreme Court of the UK, most recently in the Hopcraft decision).  Below is a post by Emeritus Professor Patrick Parkinson at the TC Beirne School of Law at the University of Queensland.
