Many members will recall that in 1998 the RLR published an edited edition of
W.D. Evans' Essay on the Action for Money Had and Received." This was from
the British Library's copy of the 1802 book in which the essay appears with
two others, on insurance and on bills of exchange. At that time and since, I
tried and have kept trying to find a copy of the book, which seems to be
extremely rare. The other day I ran a search on abebooks.com which allows
access to the stock of a large number of used book dealers worldwide, and
was very interested to see that it is now possible to order a rather
inexpensive print-to-order version of the book. This seems to be related to
the book's appearance in Gale's "Making of the Modern Law" electronic
resource.
So if you always wanted your own copy, it's easier now ...
