Li Ka Shing Visiting Professor in Asian Law
McGill University is seeking an exceptional scholar or experienced professional with a unique expertise in the interplay of Western and Asian legal traditions, from a practical and theoretical perspective. The selected candidate will be invited to spend six
to twelve months at the Faculty of Law to teach and conduct research.
The Faculty of Law's research programs, pedagogical initiatives, and academic priorities all reflect a central commitment to legal traditions, comparative law and internationalization of law. Our curriculum, taught in an integrated manner, across borders shaped
by legal traditions and systems, notably those of the common and civil law, represents an international benchmark for contemporary legal education.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The Faculty will welcome the Li Ka Shing Professor of Practice into campus life and encourage him or her to engage with students, faculty, and the broader community. He or she will be expected to teach, supervise student research projects,
lecture in public venues, network, and promote research.
For each term at McGill, the Li Ka Shing Professor of Practice will make one visit to Shantou University (Shantou, China) to offer workshops, lectures and other opportunities for intellectual exchange.
