Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to bring to your kind attention my just published book titled ‘Wrongful Enrichment: a study in comparative law and culture’ (Oxford: Hart Publishing).

The book probes the different dispositions of the law of restitution with culture in mind. It  traces engaging affinities between cultural world-views and the structure of law.

For example, the book suggests that the notable chasm between European absence-of-basis approach and the American factor-based one may, after all, be a matter of culture.

To enrich the comparisons offered, the book introduces an Eastern point of reference by examining the law of the late Ottoman Empire within the frame of that era’s conservative mentalité collective.

The research rests on English as well as non-English sources (eg. German, French, Spanish, Ottoman, Hebrew, Arabic).

The book is now available for preview and order.

if you buy it at the Hart Publishing website, you may receive a 20% discount using the code CV7 at checkout.
