alert: Fake Restitution Law Review web site
A fake web site has recently appeared purporting to be the site of the
Restitution Law Review, which is well-known to many list members but which
stopped publishing in 2018. It is at https://restitutionlawreview.co.uk/index.php/rlr
The 'archives' after 2018 seem to contain a mix of real things written
by real people, fakely presenting them as having been published in this journal
years later than they really were published, and (I think) in more recent
'volumes', AI-generated articles (with text).
Those listed as members of the Editorial Board include Peter Birks (d.
2004), and:
Alison Jones, King's College, London, England
Andrew Kull, Boston University, United States
Daniel Friedmann, Tel Aviv University, Israel
Daniel Visser, University of Cape Town, South Africa
Eoin O'Dell, Trinity College Dublin, England
Gerard McMeel, University of Bristol, England & Wales
James Edelman, University of Oxford, England
Peter Butler, University of Queensland, Australia
Peter Watts, University of Auckland, New Zealand
Robert Chambers, University of Alberta, Canada
William Stewart, University of Glasgow, Scotland
Yeo Tiong Min, Singapore Management University, Singapore
RDG members should be aware that none of this has any basis in reality
(except perhaps the charge of GBP600 that will be collected if a manuscript is
'accepted', according to the Author Guidelines).
