For those of you looking for a contracts exam question or interested in Charitable Donations, might I suggest Brantford General Hospital Foundation v. Marquis Estate 67 O.R. (3d) 432. From the headnote:

Contract — Consideration — Pledge of charitable donation — Before her death, testatrix pledging to donate $1 million to hospital over five years — Testatrix paying $200,000 — Testatrix dying and estate refusing to pay balance of pledge — Pledge unenforceable for want of consideration — Doctrines of part performance and estoppel not applying — Action to enforce pledge dismissed.
