Research Assistantship
Institute for European Tort Law
Austrian Academy of Sciences

Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant in the Institute for European Tort Law, Vienna. The successful applicant will undertake research and administration in connection with the Institute’s ongoing projects, and assist the incoming Director, Prof. Ken Oliphant, with other work in the field of European Tort Law. Prof. Oliphant succeeds Prof. Helmut Koziol as Director of the Institute on 1 January 2009.

Requirements: undergraduate and post-graduate legal education; excellent standard of written and spoken English.

Desired: good standard of written and spoken German.

It is hoped that the successful applicant will be in post from 1 January 2009. Remuneration will be paid in accordance with the Austrian Academy of Sciences’ salary scales, but may be expected to exceed € 30,000 (gross) per annum.
